UFC 2009 is a game for the true MMA fan, with a very steep learning curve requiring a deep commitment to mastering the various techniques necessary to be a successful UFC fighter. I was very impressed at the depth of the game, especially the career mode which requires finding the right training balance between striking, grappling, and submission for your custom fighter, all while finding time to meet promotional obligations outside the ring. All in all, the game stayed true to the idea of being a fighter in the UFC.
